Blue Sage Acres Ranch is located 12 miles west of Emmett Idaho, which is about 20 minutes from the Idaho - Oregon Border. We pride ourselves on raising powerful Angus Cattle for cattlemen with Profit on their mind. The ranch has evolved through three generations and three progressive breeds. We have tried to take what we have learned from each breed and develop a program that produces powerful functional cattle that also have enough look and Phenotype to compete on a National level.
Andy, which is Remington and Sage’s grandfather, is still an active part of the day-to-day operations at the ranch started out raising Purebred cattle in 1963 for Calendar and Kendall. Calendar and Kendall dispersed in 1970 and grandpa began shipping Holstein heifers to Asia for “Overseas Development Corporation,” “Holstein Heifer Ranch Inc.” and Dairyland Inc. In 1978 he joined forces with his son Mike (Sage and Remington’s late father) to develop K & K Hereford Ranches where they raised Polled Herefords and Salers Cattle. In 1984 they exhibited their first National Champion Female “TVV Miss Pacha 240P “ at the National Western Stock Show and then followed that up by having renown Salers bull of the year in 1988 with “BT Montana Slammer” in 1989 they had renown female of the year with “K & K Miss Pacha 212S.” Unfortunately due to a partnership fall-out with an outside investor K & K Ranches was forced to completely disperse in 1992.
In 1995 Sage, Andy, Remington, and the late Mike Kendall started back into the Angus breed. We have steadily built up our program through strict sifting, AI, ET and buying genetics nationwide.
